Hello Piterpanzer Members,
This is my first post and I am very pleased to have something to show, finally, my 1/25th scale Bergepanther, in a suitable setting.
As Piotr knows, I have had this model hanging around for years and have finally found time to get it done.
1. The Bergepanther:
This is the old Tamiya kit, which I was given as a (badly) made model about 40 years ago. I modified the version to Ausf. G.
The internal parts were all scratchbuilt.
2. The Motorbike combo:
This is the Tasca kit (it has to be, there are no others out there in the market....) It has been slightly modified with the addition of AC Models panniers and my own bits and pieces carried.
3. The Figures:
There are 8 figures:
a) The motorcycle figures are from AC Models
b) The Panzer officer & the WH infantryman are adapted from the (not very good) figures from the Panther kit. Thanks to Piotr for the Panzer officer's head - it goes very well !
c) The maintenance crew are all adapted from the Tamiya Mechanics set.
3. The Winch:
This is completely scratch built and what probably took the longest time to get right.
So, after many years of remaining half-finished, it is now done, 'hope you like it.
Cheers, Tim
1/25th Bergepanther

Heeello!
Incredible job and master model. You connect water and fire, old model and figures togehter with new Tasca motorbike and 2 figures.
The officer`s head looks like bad boy
I don`t understand only one thing- old to wide roadwheels, looks like from A version or old jagdpanther with G hull version?
Is it Your conversion/ configuration or from the box?

Hi Piotr,
I'm glad you like it.
As I mentioned, the original Panther was the old Tamiya Panther A, which I was given, ready-made, in the early '70's, really not a very good model. I remodelled what I could (change the hull to a G version, add grills, change the exhausts etc), but there was no substitute for the wheels, so I just used what I had. Thankfully, I was able to get a set of tracks from you, which was a major improvement.
This model has actually been an albatross (burden) to me - I had spent a lot of time on the internal parts, the transmission etc. which in the end was a waste of time, can't see it and gave up on it for several years. It was only when I got the Tasca motorcycle combo that I thought of going back to it - and it took a lot of mental wrestling to give myself the incentive needed to finish it.
Anyway, it's done now and I think it was worth bringing to a conclusion rather than abandon it altogether. And yes, that officer's head is a real gem.....
Cheers, Tim
