This is an old conversion taken form a model world magazine 1974 I think, plastic, card turret covered with green stuff by squadron, dries quickly on the large surface, leaving a realistic cast effect, carved wooden manlet, cracked recently, quick repair on lower left. Same problem with hull machine gun, too low, sheet lead front fenders, and some detailing overall, wheels from piter. thank you.

I made the same conversion (Modelworld), but I think, following article, the size of the turret seems too large compared to the original. Maybe 1/24 scale instead 1/25?

Do not ask me to post pictures because I am a beginner and this is my first conversion and the tank need refinements and weathering.

no one should judge any model fede1942, criticism is unnecessary we all work to the best of are abilities ,your right, turret does look over size but I was happy with this conversion. I was unhappy with tiger 221,hated the over scaled zimmerit ,currently re working this model, and another tiger variant. Regards Cottbus.

In your opinion, maybe Kenneth M.Jones has oversided a bit the turret to keep the same turret ring diameter of the original model?

being the article is over 40 years old ,I think it's a bit of both, it was the only 1/25 conversion I've ever seen. I've found in other 1/35 conversions out of 70's model magazines very inaccurate, I guess at the time these were aimed at the younger modeller, you seldom ad's with a 12 year old holding an airfix kit in todays hobby magazines. There's more access to research as well.

I have read several times of this defect on the Tamiya kit, but, looking at a lot of pictures of the real tank on the web, the MG does not seem to be so high on the hull.
cottbus, not to find fault in your excellent model, but only to understand.

thanks fade ,it was only a matter of cutting out the hull machine gun and moving it level with the bottom of the drivers hatch, some filler and weld beads .did the same on the t34 85.
